We provide a range of services for community groups including funding advice, training, information and support. We also have a volunteer brokerage service, supporting individuals who would like to volunteer and groups who would like to recruit volunteers.
We also manage a range of projects and contracts including:
Peoples Takeaway is a volunteer-led project that provides hot meals for people in crisis, just like a regular takeaway only free.
East Durham Connected is a dynamic programme to transform and improve access to vital information, advice and guidance services across East Durham. Services include welfare checks, assistance with benefit claims and reviews, debt management and support, alongside referrals for crisis support such as food parcels and emergency energy vouchers.
FEED. This project provides emergency food parcels for East Durham residents in financial crisis. You will need to be referred by an external support agency to receive support.
CHIT CHAT. Volunteers run this telephone befriending service for social isolated members of the community.
East Durham Creates is a Creative People and Places project funded through the Arts Council England which provides a range of opportunities to get people more engaged with the arts. These activities range from major commissions to go and see visits to arts and culture across the country
