Waddington Street Centre

We are an independent charity in Durham City, providing support, training and activities to people with mental health needs. Services provided include:

Education courses
Over 20 different courses per week, Monday to Friday, many run at Waddington Street Centre in partnership with New College Durham.

Open access groups
The centre runs a number of non referral groups / sessions: Saturday drop in cafe and art sessions, men™s group (Cree), women™s group, young person™s group (Y-ASC), Thursday evening drop in, bi-weekly music night, monthly poetry evening.

Emotional and social support
Talking to support workers about emotional worries and concerns, confidential advice and guidance, access to support services.

Leisure and social activities
Day trips and annual holiday.
