County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services

We offer a treatment and recovery service for alcohol and other drugs for all age groups in County Durham.
We provide the following services:

comprehensive assessment of need
recovery coordination
substitute prescribing
psychosocial Intervention
links with housing and benefit advice
assistance with identifying education, training and employment opportunities
service user groups
needle exchange and harm minimisation service
blood borne virus testing and immunisation
recovery hubs to support recovery
Recovery Academy Durham (RAD) providing housing support and a structured daycare programme
links to mutual aid for example smart, AA, NA, CA, SMART etc
family support
young person specialist workers
specialist trainers
We offer an open access service with people being able to refer themselves in by attending any centre between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday “Friday when they will be seen by a specialist assessment worker who will complete their assessment with them on that day.
