At present we run two peer support group sessions in Sunderland. We have built a good foundation group with weekly sessions at the Beacon of Light on a Thursday. With our 2nd group started in January 2025 at the Old Rectory in Houghton-Le-Spring on a Tuesday. With plans of starting additional group sessions in Sunderland, County Durham and beyond in the near future.
The aim of each session is to provide a safe space for conversation and to allow people to engage with their peers. Along with facilitator led signposting to local/national resources which may be helpful to attendees.
‘Not A Statistic Northeast CIC’ is and always will be open to everyone, This provides Inclusivity to all persons wishing to access our sessions, to hopefully remove social barriers and help the local community make connections.
